Michael is a Canadian journalist, newspaper and magazine editor since 1969. He actually started playing backgammon with friends back around 1968,

Michael has been actively involved in the online-offline backgammon scene since 1999. He has reported live from backgammon events worldwide. In 2002, he was awarded the prestigious Chairman’s Trophy at the World Backgammon Championships in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Michael retired from travelling to report from backgammon tournaments but still promotes the game of backgammon on Facebook and wherever he goes in the real world.
